Sabrina Balint, Scholarship Recipient

My goal is to transfer to the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign and enter their biochemistry program.

I am a fourth year student at Harper. My first and a half I had spent studying the fine arts (ceramics and figure drawing in particular), but then decided to start education in biochemistry. I feel change greatly benefited me and has given me the opportunity to help many people in the near and distant future. 

I cannot fully express how grateful I am for this monetary award. Financial stress has always been an issue for me. I have to work all year to pay for school, and sometimes the stress would negatively impact my grades and my personal health. 

With these scholarships, I am now able to fully concentrate on my studies without any worry in the background. I am so happy that I can go to school and really demonstrate my potential and capability that I have for the difficult material I am studying. Thank you so much for this privilege.
