Career certificate programs, Paths to College and Career skill-building courses, and foundational Adult Education courses (FREE High School Equivalency and English language) are hosted at our Prospect Heights location, the LCC.

Jump start your career with short programs that give you hands-on experience. Classes are offered during the day and evening. Scholarships and other financial aid options are available. LCC students can take advantage of lab computers, library, food pantry, a lactation/quiet space, Kids Care, and more.

All classes are held at the Learning and Career Center in Prospect Heights. Easily accessible from Prospect Heights, Wheeling and surrounding areas.

FREE Special Services:

Hawks Care at LCC offers students referrals to Harper and community resources, the Snack Shack, and food pantry. Ask at the LCC Reception desk for "Hawks Care Help."

Tax-Aide offers students and the community free, IRS-certified tax preparation February to April through the AARP Foundation (no age or income restrictions). 

Immigration Legal Assistance is available once a month in partnership with North Suburban Legal Aid. Language support available on request in Spanish, Russian, Korean, Pashto, Farsi, and more.

Kids Care offers FREE child care and enrichment activities onsite while parents are in class - restrictions apply.

At LCC This Semester:

Learn basic supply chain logistics or career growth in areas such as warehouse operations, transportation, material handling and order fulfillment.

Advance in the lodging industry and participate in front desk activities, sales and supervision.

Learn basic care skills for patient well-being in health care facilities.

  • Includes 40-hour supervised clinical experience

Learn skills and techniques involved in the collection of blood from patients or donors for diagnostic testing.

  • $19.42 hourly average in Cook County*
  • Includes 3 weeks full-time clinical internship

Take free foundational English classes during the day or the evening to fit your busy schedule.

Attend free High School Equivalency courses during the day or evening and work to obtain your HSE diploma.
