Invest In Yourself: There are plenty of wellness products out there in the world, some of them probably
worth your money more than others. While you don’t necessarily need products or things
to jumpstart your wellness, here are a few of my favorite things that have been worth
the investment:
a. A pair of good running/walking shoes: I can’t tell you how many people have told me that they’ve had the same exercise
shoes for years and then proceed to complain about various shin splints or foot pains.
I recommend going to a local running store to get fitted for a pair of shoes that
fit your body type and needs as a quality pair of shoes can make a huge difference.
Runners High ‘n Tri or Dick Pond Athletics can be great places to start.
b. Smart watch: There are plenty of smart watches out there that track your steps. You don’t need
anything too fancy, but a watch that can help track your steps can serve as a good
reminder to move more throughout the day.
c. Running/Walking Belt: Whether you’re a runner or walker, I’ve found that my flip belt has come in handy
when I go indoors or outdoors to exercise to help store my phone, keys, snacks etc.
There are plenty out there to choose from, FLIPBELT is just one of many brands.
d. Minimal Equipment: If you’re traveling or don’t have time to make it out of the house, have a few small
pieces of equipment on hand so you can do any sort of workout anywhere. I’ve invested
in a quality jump rope, a 20 lb. weight plate, yoga mat and a foam roller and I’ve
been able to program body weight or slightly weighted workouts no matter where I go
as the equipment is easy to store and carry with me when I’m on the go.
