Cash Gifts

The Foundation accepts checks, cash, and money orders. Please make checks payable to the Harper College Educational Foundation and mail to Harper College Educational Foundation, 1200 West Algonquin Road, Palatine, IL 60067

Credit Card Gifts

Giving online is a secure and quick way to make your donation. You may designate a fund to support, just as you would if making a cash gift. Ready to make a gift? Access our secure online gift form. If you prefer, call us at 847.925.6490 to make your gift personally.

Qualified Charitable Distributions

In partnership with the Illinois Community College System Foundation (ICCSF), the Harper College Educational Foundation can now accept Qualified Charitable Distributions from IRA accounts. ICCSF accepts the QCDs on behalf of the Harper College Educational Foundation, and 100% of your gift supports Harper College students. Your QCD gift must be made payable to the Illinois Community College System. Please click here for instructions and next steps.

Donor-Advised Funds (DAF)

A donor-advised fund, or DAF, gives you the opportunity to support Harper College students while also receiving tax benefits on your donation.  Think of it as a charitable savings account - you put money in the DAF, any potential growth is tax-free, and then you can recommend where your assets go in the form of grants.  Learn more about giving to support Harper students through a Donor-Advised Fund here.

Tribute Gifts

You can make a gift in memory of someone or in honor of a special person or occasion in your life. If making a gift online, just complete the section regarding tribute gifts. We can even notify someone about your gift. If mailing your gift, please include a note about whom you are honoring, and whom you would like us to notify about your gift.

Scholarship Gifts

Scholarships can be created through the Harper College Educational Foundation to support students as they work toward achieving their dreams. The Foundation offers both endowed scholarships and annual scholarships. Click here to learn more about the scholarships Harper College offers.

Matching Gifts

Your employer may match your gift, allowing your contribution to double - or even triple!  Some companies even match gifts made by their retirees.  Check with your Human Resources Department and complete the application process.  Let us know that you have requested a match and we'll do the rest.

Stock Gifts

Stock gifts are accepted by the Foundation. They are valued at the closing price on the day received as reported in The Wall Street Journal. Please open the attached PDF form for instructions on how to transfer stock to the Harper College Educational Foundation.
