Harper College will be closed Tuesday, November 5 in observance of Election Day.
The Harper College Diagnostic Cardiac and Medical Sonography programs are seeking volunteers interested in receiving free ultrasounds.
Appointments will be available on select days starting Wednesday, January 22 through mid-April.
Available ultrasound exams include echocardiograms of the heart (participants must be at least 18 years old) and obstetrical ultrasounds (participants must be at least 18 weeks pregnant).
The tests are non-diagnostic. Volunteers will not receive a medical report, but may be instructed to follow up with a physician. The obstetrical ultrasounds may include 2D/3D images.
The hour-long exams will be performed by students under the supervision of a registered diagnostic medical and cardiac sonographer. Harper’s program conforms to all patient safety regulations.
Appointments are limited and fill up quickly. Please call the Harper College Diagnostics Imaging Lab at 847.925.6104 after January 2.
