Harper College will be closed Tuesday, November 5 in observance of Election Day.
High school students and their parents are invited to visit Harper College and discover why it’s the place to start their higher education journey.
Harper’s High School Open House begins at 5 p.m. Wednesday, October 16, in the Student Center (Building A) on the college’s main campus, 1200 W. Algonquin Road in Palatine. Check-in starts at 4:30 p.m.
High school students will have the opportunity to join interactive tours to explore campus and learn about studying abroad, the University Center and the new Makerspace and Entrepreneur Center. Leaders of various student clubs and organizations will show visitors how to get involved on campus, while academic faculty will be on hand to answer any questions families may have about their fields of expertise.
Representatives from student support offices including the Academic Support Center, Athletics, Scholarships Office, Access and Disability Services, Student Involvement and New Student Orientation will also be available to meet with students.
Parent breakout sessions will be offered in English and Spanish covering topics such as the Engineering Pathways program, apprenticeships, transfer options, success strategies and financial aid. Additionally, students can meet with admissions and apply the night of the Open House to have their application fee waved.
