Harper College offices will be closed Monday, September 2 in observance of Labor Day.
The Global Learning Opportunities Broaden Education (GLOBE) Endowed Scholarship Fund was created by a colleague when Dr. Rich Johnson ended his term as the Director of the Harper College Office of International Education by grateful colleagues. During more than a decade of service in the role, Dr. Johnson enriched and transformed the landscape of the International Education Program at Harper College.
A life-changing component of any educational experience is the opportunity to immerse oneself in another culture. While many students desire such an experience, the cost often exceeds their budget. The GLOBE Endowed Scholarship Fund aims to provide equitable access to intercultural and international programs for students from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups, first generation to college students, students from low income families, and students with a history of overcoming adversity.
Your contribution to the GLOBE Endowed Scholarship through the Harper College Educational Foundation (HCEF) will help Harper College students seeking to broaden their horizons through immersive intercultural programs at home or abroad, including opportunities that leverage technology to bring the world into their classrooms.
Richard and his wife, Blair Alexander, hope you will join them in supporting the next generation of curious Harper College students eager to explore the world.
