Pickleball at Harper College - Under Construction

Pickleball is currently available during open recreation and scheduled recreation times and is free to members. Non-members may purchase a single entry pass to participate in open recreation. All open recreation activities are held at the Health and Recreation Center (Building M) in the four court fieldhouse and are open to anyone eighteen years or older with a valid I.D.

Casual, first-come, first-served play. Nets are set during designated open times. Rotate games to keep play moving and match by skill when possible.
Who it’s for: All skill levels, students, members, and day-pass guests.
Bring: Harper ID/Rec Center Membership Card, paddle (limited loaners available), non-marking shoes.

Pickleball is a fun, fast-paced paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. Played on a smaller court, it's easy to learn and suitable for all skill levels, making it perfect for casual players and competitors alike. To ensure a positive experience for all participants, courts are divided into beginner/intermediate and competitive play. This program is a pilot program that we will be continually monitoring for the next several months. Please be patient as we go through this process. Depending on interest, the scheduled recreation program may evolve to include pre-registration, fee for high usage times and/or member only privileges.

Pickleball Leagues

Our seasonal pickleball leagues provide structured weekly match play for adult participants. Designed for both casual and competitive players, leagues offer a great opportunity to stay active, improve skills, and connect with others in the pickleball community. Leagues are open to adults ages 18 and older. You do not need to be a Harper College student or employee to join.

  • Wednesdays 6 to 8:45 p.m.
  • 5 Weeks: November 12 to December 17 (no league on11/26)
  • Rec Center Members: $50 | Non-members: $75
  • Intermediate skill level
  • Ladder-style doubles (Men’s & Women’s)
  • Registration required, limited spots per division

Court assignment each week is based on results from the previous week; points scored and point differential are used for tiebreakers. Please plan to attend all 5 weeks.

Note: Must be 18 years or older to participate with a valid I.D.
