AIM Instructions for Students: Requesting Exams with ASL Interpreter

A Step-by-step Guide on Scheduling Exams with Alternative Testing

  • Request your accommodations on AIM prior to this step or it will not work.
  • Please complete testing requests at least seven (7) business days prior to each exam/quiz.

  1. Log into AIM as shown on the initial Requesting Accommodations guide.
  2. Go to the My Accommodations menu on the left-hand side and click on Alternative Testing.

  3. Select the class from the drop-down menu and click on the Schedule an Exam button.Alternative testing overview
  4. You will see information that confirms the days and times of your course.

  5. Select Request Type, type in the date, time and click the boxes for the accommodations you will only need for this specific exam/quiz.Exam detail
  6. Read the Terms and Conditions and check all boxes to express that you have read and agreed.

  7. Click on the Add Exam Request button.

  8. NOTE: If the request is made within seven (7) business days, you will receive a message that a Late Exam Request is being submitted. If so, please select the reason from the drop-down menu and type in any additional information to justify your reason for the late request. When completed, click on the “Submit Late Request button.”
  9. You should then see the following dialogue box on your screen that shows your request has been processed:

  10. You will receive a confirmation email that your exam request was processed and received by the ADS Office.
