AIM Instructions for Students

REQUESTING EXAMS WITH ALTERNATIVE TESTING WITH USE OF A TEXT-TO-SPEECH SOFTWARE PROGRAM OR AUDIO FILES

A Step-by-step Guide on Requesting Exams with the Alternative Testing Accommodation:

1.  Log into AIM through your student portal

2.  Click on Academic Success

3.  In the Access and Disability box, click on Manage your Accommodations (AIM)

4.  Under My Accommodations, select Alternative Testing

5.  Select the class from the drop-down menu and click on the button to “Schedule an Exam"

6.  You will see information on the top of the screen about scheduling an exam request:

7.  Select from Request Type, Date, Time and in Service Requested, select only the accommodations you will need for this specific exam:

8.  Read the Term(s) and Condition(s) and check all boxes:

9.  Click on the Add Exam Request button:

a.  If the request is made within seven (7) business days, you may receive a message that a Late Exam Request is being submitted. If so, please select the Reason from the drop-down menu:

b.  Please click on the Submit Late Exam Request button:

10.  You should then see the following dialogue box on your screen:
System update message

 

11.  You will receive an email that your exam request was received by the ADS office I-103.

12.  Please remember all use of a text-to-speech software program or audio files request must be submitted seven (7) business days prior to any exam (weekends and holidays are not included).
