Harper College will be closed on Wednesday, February 12 in observance of Lincoln's Day.
Amanda DeBoer Bartlett, DMA, is a vocalist, composer, conductor, and organizer specializing in contemporary
classical music, folk music, opera, and musical theatre. She is the director of Quince
Contemporary Vocal Ensemble, a treble voice chamber ensemble specializing in the music
of living composers. She is also a member of Ensemble Dal Niente, a contemporary and
experimental chamber orchestra based in Chicago.
She was the founder and director of Omaha Under the Radar, a contemporary music and dance festival, mounting 9 festivals, a concert series, and a workshop program during her tenure. As an educator, Amanda has taught at multiple schools throughout the midwest, including the University of Nebraska Omaha, Bowling Green State University, the University of Buffalo, and Iowa Western Community College.
She has given lectures, workshops, and residencies at institutions internationally such as Northwestern University, DePaul University, Columbia College Chicago, Harvard University, Stanford University, Eastman School of Music, Manhattan School of Music, Boston College, and many more. Amanda holds degrees from DePaul University, the University of Buffalo, and Bowling Green State University. She teaches applied voice and is the director of choirs at Harper College.
