Harper College

Workshops

While the Library addresses a variety of general and specific information literacy topics in our typical instruction sessions, we can also do more targeted workshops, often in partnership with the Harper College Writing Center. Some examples of workshops we have conducted in the past:

  • Plagiarism (what it is, how to avoid it)
  • Citing in MLA Style for ESL Students
  • Citing in MLA Style in the Humanities
  • General Research Strategies

We have conducted workshops during class time by instructor request as well as during open/drop in sessions in the Library.

If you would like to schedule a workshop for your class, or if you have an idea for a new workshop you think would be valuable for your students, please email us at lrcrefdk@harpercollege.edu.
