Harper College will be closed on Monday, January 20 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The Make Shop (the Library's makerspace) supports innovation, creation, and expression by providing access to artistic tools and exposure to new ideas. In The Make Shop, users have the freedom to experiment and to learn by thinking critically and becoming problem solvers. The Make Shop is open to students, employees, and the community.
The Make Shop's positive and innovative environment allows students to develop their creative process and to provide multimodal learning opportunities for a well-rounded educational experience. The Make Shop provides students with access to machines, tools, events and programs that elevate their sense of belonging on campus as well as promotes mental and social wellness. Students are encouraged to use the Make Shop as a learning arena to create projects that allow for practice with problem-solving, thinking critically, and experimenting using a variety of technological and artistic techniques.
