William Rainey Harper College is the second largest of the 48 community colleges in Illinois serving completely or partially 23 municipalities. The Harper College Profile (linked above) provides answers to the most frequently asked questions. Harper College is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, and has 15 programs with specialized accreditations.
The Harper College District No. 512 includes portions of four counties: Cook (which makes up the majority of the area and population of Harper’s district), Lake, Kane, and McHenry and the district boundaries are defined by Township High School Districts 211, 214, and Community Unit School District 220.

As of Fall 2023 census, Harper employes over 1,300 full-time and part-time employees. There are 657 Credit Faculty and CE Instructional Staff (196 full-time and 461 part-time) and 659 Non-Instructional staff (539 full-time and 120 part-time).

11,561 students were awarded $33,169,673 in scholarships, grants and tuition waivers through Harper College in 2022–23.
Harper College serves more than 26,000 students (21,900 credit and 4,610 community education) annually.
Credit
The Credit Students dashboard provides data on Harper College credit, AED, and Continuing Professional Education (CPE) students including enrollment demographics, course modalities, transfer schools, credentials, and students by high school.
Community Education
The Community Education Students dashboard provides data on Harper College community education students including enrollment by activity, course information, and demographic characteristics.
