Gatekeeper Success - Special Populations
Increase success in gatekeeper courses
- Special populations (developmental, young male, black non-Hispanic) increase by 5%
over the baseline.

- Students who originally placed into developmental math in the 2011 cohort had gatekeeper
math success rates 2.0% lower than students who placed into developmental math starting
in the baseline cohort.
- Students who originally placed into developmental reading in the 2011 cohort had gatekeeper
English success rates 0.5% higher than students who placed into developmental reading
starting in the baseline cohort.
- Students who originally placed into developmental writing in the 2011 cohort had gatekeeper
English success rates 0.5% lower than did students who placed into developmental writing
starting in the baseline cohort.
