Language Lab

A professor is instructing their class in the Language Lab, which features individual cubicles equipped with computers, headsets, and cameras for each student.

Digital technology helps you succeed.

A professor is assisting a student who is using a computer and wearing a headset in the Language Lab.It is important that you have a place and tools to practice what you learn in class. The Language Lab offers state-of-the-art audio, video, and other interactive computer resources for currently enrolled ESL students to practice a variety of skills: grammar, listening, pronunciation, reading, vocabulary and writing.

The Language Lab also provides classes with a fun learning experience in which students communicate with each other and their instructor through headsets. Instructors record and monitor to provide immediate feedback for areas of improvement.

The ESL Department offers one independent study course in the lab: Guided Language Lab (ESL 006).  This course can help students improve a variety of English skills customized to the learners' needs, or to prepare for TOEFL or IELTS proficiency tests.
