Parking and Parking Permits

Students and visitors park for free in any lot marked "Student Parking." No parking stickers are required. Red parking spaces are for faculty and staff who utilize the proper parking permit.

Emergency call boxes are located on campus, in the parking lots and near the athletic fields. Their locations are marked with a blue light.

The call box is activated with a push-to-talk and release-to-listen button. Utilize these call boxes anytime police services are needed. The Harper College Police Department will promptly respond to any emergency call box activation

Payment will be accepted online at HCPD Citation Payment and the Harper College Business Office. accepts credit card transactions only. The Harper College Business Office will accept credit card, check or cash. Only United States currency will be accepted as cash payment. No portion of any cash payment shall contain more than one dollar in coin.

Appeal a Parking Citation

The preferred method to file a citation appeal is by using the secure online Citation Appeal form. To file an appeal in person, please stop by the Harper College Police Department in Building B at any time. An appeal will be accepted within 14 calendar days inclusive of the date of issuance.

Check the Status of an Appeal

The appeal process may take up to 5 days for review. After five days from the date of the appeal, you may check the status of an appeal, by emailing police@harpercollege.edu with the citation number. Please add CITATION STATUS in the subject field for a quicker response.
