The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, in partnership with Harper Wellness and Social Justice Studies, is now offering a Wellness & Justice series.  This series explores the intersectionalities of the eight dimensions of wellness and social identities, including race, gender, religion, and class. Using her book, Stealing My Religion: Not just cultural appropriation, Dr. Bucar unpacks the ethical dilemmas of a messy form of cultural appropriation: the borrowing of religious doctrines, rituals, and dress for political, economic, and therapeutic reasons.
