DEI Sensory Room

sensoryroomCreated with input from the Access and Disability Services (ADS) Club, the Sensory room is a space for low stimulation and relaxation. The Sensory Room is inside the Cultural Center near the entry doors, in room D269. Inside the room there are bean bag chairs, fuzzy carpets, weighted stuffed animals, coloring sheets, fidget toys, and encouraging messages hanging from the ceiling. 

 

 

 

 

Hours:

Monday: 8:00 AM -12:00 PM

Tuesday: 8:00 AM-12:30 PM

Wednesday: 8:00 AM-12:00 PM

Thursday: 8:00 AM -12:30 PM

Friday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

To access the room, students check in at the front desk. Staff and faculty do not need to check in. There is no time limit on the use of the room.

This room is sponsored by the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, with special funding from Harper Wellness and Counseling Services.
