With a nod to Op art and Color field painting, Gina Hunt creates site-specific installations and paintings that play with our visual perception. Using canvas, dyes, paint and wood, her work challenges our understanding of the structure of painting and its relationship to space. Hunt’s work has been exhibited nationally since earning her MFA in 2015 from Illinois State University. She is a Chicago-based artist and educator. gina-hunt.com
