Tutoring is free for all currently enrolled Harper students. Tutoring is available
for community members for a small fee.
What should I bring?
Bring any materials you have, such as your laptop, syllabus, textbook, notes, assignment
sheet, readings.
When should I see a tutor?
Come sooner rather than later. You can work with a tutor at any point in the assignment
process - you do not need to have finished your assignment to work with a tutor.
What happens in a tutoring session?
Tutors can clarify points from lectures, labs, discussions, or assigned readings.
Tutors will show students how to become independent learners; however, tutors cannot
complete homework for students, grade assignments, or help with tests/quizzes.
Are you hiring?
Every semester, we hire students to work at our front desk, tutor, and become SI Leaders.
