Harper College strives to offer a competitive compensation and benefits package to

employees, benefit information is available on Harper Intranet Portal (HIP). Note: Employee login is required.
Employees enjoy a full array of insurance options. These include the following choices
for employees and eligible dependents:
- Medical - PPO, HMO and High Deductible Health Plan, all through Blue Cross Blue shield.
- Dental – Delta Dental is provided free of charge for the employee. Optional dependent
coverage offered at affordable rates.
- Life Insurance – Generous base benefit provided free of charge for the employee. Optional
additional coverage offered at affordable group rates.
- Disability Insurance – Both short and long term disability insurance are provided
to the employee free of charge at an income replacement value of 60%.
- Vision – Voluntary vision coverage offered through VSP.
- Flexible Spending Plan – Voluntary opportunity for employees to use pre-tax dollars
for eligible expenses. Debit card available.
- Identity Theft Protection – Voluntary coverage offered through Norton LifeLock.

their dependents by offering tuition waivers for Harper courses. Credit class tuition
is waived for both the employee and eligible dependents. Continuing Education tuition
is waived for the employee.
