Harper’s Hispanic Serving Institution Program

HSI Students Lined up at GraduationHarper College is proud to be a Hispanic Serving Institution

In 2023, the U.S. Department of Education designated Harper College a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI). As a result, Harper was awarded federal funding to establish an HSI program that will focus on enhancing educational programming and student support services in a culturally responsive way for Latine and other underrepresented students, though all students will benefit. Harper is proud of its identity as an HSI, with Latine students constituting approximately 30% of total enrollment.

Harper’s mission as an HSI

Harper College will provide tailored student support for Latine and other underrepresented students through culturally responsive education, advising and support services.
