Harper College will be closed Monday, December 23 through Wednesday, January 1 for Winter Break.
Mechatronics technicians use a combination of mechanical, electrical, computer and software skills to work with smart technologies, such as robots, automated guided systems and computer-integrated manufacturing equipment.
The Mechatronics Technician Apprenticeship is a three-year program in which students attend courses in the Fall and Spring semesters. The rest of the year the apprentice receives mechatronics training from a dedicated mentor at the hiring company.
Students completing this program will earn an A.A.S. degree in Manufacturing Technology, three NIMS credentials, a certification from the Department of Labor that they are fully qualified for their occupation, and three years of experiences.
