Here's how the University Center works:

Choose from one of the 12 available programs, and work with the University Center team to develop a plan for transferring to the partner institution offering that program.

    • Current Harper students can make a smooth transition from earning an associate degree to completing a bachelor’s degree without adding a new commute or living away from home.
    • Community members who have earned college credit from elsewhere can work with the University Center to determine how to enter a University Center program through a combination of transferred credit and/or fulfilling prerequisites through Harper.

By completing the necessary prerequisites, you can meet the admissions criteria of your selected program.

    • You'll be enrolled as a student of your program's university and have access to your university's resources while benefitting from the convenience of Harper's Palatine campus.
    • Each university keeps office hours at Harper's campus for easy access to admissions, registration and academic advising staff.

Your classes are taught by the partner university's expert faculty members, who teach online or come to Harper's campus to teach.
