Harper College will be closed Tuesday, November 5 in observance of Election Day.
Online learning can be valuable for anyone with a busy schedule. Taking courses online allows you the opportunity to decide the time and location that works the best for you to participate in your coursework. See what Harper Online has to offer!
Many students who choose online learning do so because they prefer the flexible scheduling that online courses offer. Rather than attending classes on campus, students can complete their coursework around their schedule. For that reason, Harper offers students the opportunity to earn select degree or certificate programs fully online. View the list of Harper programs that are also offered in an online format. As members of the Harper College community, students have a responsibility to maintain a quality campus and learning environment for themselves and others. This applies to the online classroom environment as well as the physical campus. All students are expected to read and abide by the Student Code of Conduct, which describes the behavioral expectations for students, as well as informs students of how file a complaint against another student and how to dispute decisions made by faculty or staff. You can find the Student Code of Conduct located in the Student Handbook portion of the Catalog. If you have any questions about the Student Code of Conduct, including the complaint process, you can contact the Student Conduct Officer.
Whether your complaint is academic or non-academic in nature, the complaint process is to first express your concern to the individual faculty or staff member within 10 school days of the incident occurring. If you do that and you feel your complaint has not been addressed or resolved adequately, the next step is to provide your complaint in writing in accordance with the dispute resolution procedures outlined in the Student Code of Conduct. If you feel that the College is not following the complaint process offered, or your complaint isn't being taken seriously, you can contact the Illinois Community College Board.
If you are a student living out of the State of Illinois you may also file your complaint with the state in which you reside (see Student Complaint Information by State).
