Sterile processing technicians are an important part of the medical community. Hospitals, clinics, dental offices, and surgical centers across the country all require for sterile processing technicians to be involved in decreasing the spread of infections through their knowledge and practice of proper sanitization processes. Wherever there are patients, sterile processing technicians are needed.
Harper College will prepare you for success in this growing field. At Harper, you get hands-on experience in a protected environment when you practice in the Surgical Technology Suite which offers state of the art sterilization equipment. Along with working with our expert, experienced faculty, you also gain real-life experience through clinical assignments.
Our one semester program includes a balance of both classroom and clinical instruction. Onsite learning labs provide you with a state-of-the-art learning environment that prepares you for a variety of clinical settings.
