Noyce Teacher PRIDE Scholars Program

PRomoting Inclusiveness and Diversity in Education (PRIDE)

Become a licensed STEM teacher for grades 5 - 12 and promote diversity and inclusivity in STEM education.

Harper College is partnering with Elmhurst University to offer an exciting scholarship through the Noyce Teacher PRIDE Scholars Program. This program aims to expand diversity in STEM education by increasing the number of diverse teachers in middle schools and high schools and by helping new teachers learn how to promote diversity and inclusivity in the classroom.

  • As a Harper student, you'll complete required coursework in science and education.
  • Receive $15,000 annually for two years to complete your bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, physics, or math at Elmhurst University.
  • Benefit from additional support with a mentor before and after graduation.
  • Participate in field trips and attend regional and national education conferences.

The program encourages applications from students who will expand diversity through ethnicity, race, gender, religion, language, sexual orientation, gender identity, and/or disability status.
