In this assignment, you are being asked to write a three to five (3-5) page, typed and double-spaced, critical essay in which you compare and contrast two essays you have read.
Choose two essays from The Brief Bedford Reader or another source that address similar or related issues. As one of your essays, you may choose the essay you used for Essay Two in this class. Your assignment for this essay is to reveal the points of agreement or disagreement in the arguments of the two essays you have chosen. Ultimately, you will have to choose which of the two essays you found most convincing and explain what insight into the central issue you gained from the comparison/contrast.
For this assignment, you are not limited to the essays we have read in class. In fact, I would encourage you to seek out other sources for the topic of this essay. If you choose to work with a text we have not covered in class, I will ask that you submit a photocopy of the essay you work with.
