Linking to Films on Demand in Blackboard

1.  Go to the Library website: http://dept.harpercollege.edu/library and click on "Streaming Media". Films On Demand is a digital video platform offering nearly 6,000 education films online. Publishers include: Films for the Humanities, Discovery Education, HBO, BBC Active and more.

2. Choose "Films on Demand" from the list of streaming options. Perform a keyword search or an advanced search limiting to title, subject, copyright date etc.

3.  You can also navigate to films by using the subject folders on the left.

4.  Review results and choose the film you want to insert into Blackboard.

5.  After you click on the film's title, look under the video box in the "Details" tab.  Cut and paste the link from the TITLE URL box into Blackboard.

6.  Inserting the TITLE URL into Blackboard as an "External Link" is easiest. (Go to the Control Panel, navigate to the appropriate place, and select "External Link".)

Create a playlist of video clips.
Follow these instructions if you'd rather not link to entire films.
