Linking to Access Science in Blackboard

	Access Science is the McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science & Technology with multimedia content, research updates, Science News and Science Central videos. You'll find over 8,500 articles and 15,000 illustrations and graphics contributed by more than 5000 researchers, including 36 Nobel Prize winners.  Watch a video on Access Science.
1.  Go to the Library website: http://dept.harpercollege.edu/library Click on: Articles & More.  Select Access Science from the list.
2.  Perform a simple keyword search, topic search or an advanced search to find encyclopedia articles and research updates.
3.  Review results. Chose an article to post in Blackboard.
4.  Cut and paste the link from the address bar into Blackboard. --You're not done yet!
5.  You must also paste the remote access proxy link in front of the Access Science link above.	remote access link: http://prox1.harpercollege.edu:2048/login?url=

6.  Inserting the combined link into Blackboard as an "External Link" is easiest. (Go to the Control Panel, navigate to the appropriate place, and select "External Link".)
