Learning Disabilities and Attention Deficit
Disorder Services
Learning Disabilities
A learning disability (LD) is a permanent disorder that affects
the manner in which individuals with normal or above average
intelligence take in, retain, and express information. It is
recognized as a deficit in one or more areas of cognitive processing.
For more information about LD, visit ldonline.com.
Attention Deficit Disorder
Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) is a neurological disorder
that is characterized by distractibility, impulsivity,
and restlessness. Individuals with ADD experience symptoms
with much greater intensity than the average person; symptoms
are present from childhood on, and interfere with everyday
functioning. For more information on ADD, visit CHADD.org.
