Throughout the year, Harper hosts visiting artists’ exhibits, student works and juried exhibitions in the
College’s Art Exhibition Space (Building C, Room C200). Events take place in the Exhibition Space unless
otherwise noted. Exhibits are free and open to the community, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Faculty Exhibition
January 17 – February 9, 2012

In addition to teaching, Harper College’s active studio art faculty members are dedicated to making and exhibiting their own work. Collectively, their work represents a wide range of concept and material approaches. This biennial exhibition provides an important opportunity for art faculty to share their work with students, colleagues and the community.

Lora Fosberg: self-planned obsole-scence and 10 ways to combat it
February 21 – March 15, 2012

The drawings, prints and paintings of Lora Fosberg work on multiple levels. Upon introduction, the viewer is engaged by familiar objects from everyday life and faint glimpses of memories, both personal and universal. Given time, these elements begin to make connections that reveal subtle political and social statements. Fosberg splits her time between Chicago and Indiana while exhibiting her work around the country.

35th Annual National Juried Exhibition: Small Works
March 26 – April 19, 2012

The College’s annual national juried exhibition highlights work selected from entries by artists from across the country. The show features a wide array of media, ranging from photography and prints to painting and sculpture. The Harper College Educational Foundation sponsors
this exhibit.

Juried Student Exhibition
April 30 – May 11, 2012

This annual exhibition includes works in various media and styles by students who have taken art courses throughout the year. Each year a professional artist is invited to jury the student’s submissions and select the work for the show..
