Kimball Hill Family Deaf Institute

Serving Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students

Started in 1973, the Kimball Hill Family Deaf Institute now serves between 40 and 60 students per year. Thanks to the generosity and support of the Kimball Hill family, Access and Disability Services is able to provide quality interpreting and captioning services that enhance the learning experience of our Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.

Services and Support:

The following services and supports are available to qualifying students based upon documentation and approval:

  • Sign Language Interpreting
  • Video and/or Classroom Captioning
  • Assistive Listening Devices
  • Academic Accommodations (Note Taking, Extended Time for Exams, Assistive Technology, etc.)
  • Disability advising
  • Deaf Club
