1. Students are encouraged to select at least one course in either
the humanities/fine arts or the social/behavioral sciences that emphasizes
non-Western cultures or minority cultures within the United States.
A two-semester sequence in the same discipline from either the humanities/fine
arts or the social/behavioral sciences is recommended.
2. Completion of the Associate in the Engineering Sciences degree does
not fulfill the requirements of the Illinois General Education core
curriculum. After transfer, AES students will need to complete the general
education requirements of the institution to which they transfer.
3. Computer engineering and computer science students should select
CSC 121 instead.
Note: No more than two GEG or two HST (except HST 105) courses may
be used to fulfill Groups 1-6.
